Israeli church schools strike enters third week
For nearly three weeks now, over 30 thousand students have not been attending school but waiting for a solution that would put an end to the ongoing strike in church schools in Israel.
While over two million students began their school year nearly three weeks ago, some 33 thousand pupils attending church schools in Israel are still at home.
The schools are negotiating with the Israeli Education Ministry in order to raise their education budget and end the ongoing strike. Meanwhile, parents of students from Nazareth, Haifa, Jaffa, Ramla and Lod are outraged, claiming the state does not care about tens of thousands of students who did not begin their school year.
